Mosquito Lagoon Fishing Guide - Orlando Florida Fishing Charters- Captain Mike Ortego The Florida Fisherman

Central Florida Fishing Report - June28th 2010
Hey this is Captain Mike Ortego The Florida Fisherman with your central Florida Fishing report for the week of June 28th and the upcoming Fourth of July weekend.

On the freshwater front Lake Istapoga is hot using soft plastics over matted hydrilla. Big bass are hitting in Lake Toho there isn’t much hydrilla but big 10 inch worms around the Goblets cove area has been doing the trick.

On the inshore salt big redfish has been the news of the week in the south Lagoon lady fish has been the key to getting these trophy fish to eat. Speaking of Ladyfish they are thick up and down the Inter coastal water-way If you have young ones this makes for a great action packed day.

Offshore there have been good numbers of cobia off the beach heading North out of Port Canaveral. Out of Ponce there has been a great Bonita bite south of the inlet with small tarpon sprinkled in for some aerial fun. Sailfish have been the prize in the Big Blue with several catches from Vero Beach to the Port being reported around 150 feet.

That’s your central Florida Fishing report brought to you by Blue Points Marina in Port Canaveral and Alan Hand Construction for all your building needs.
